The answer is true since some investment platforms have some promotions whereby a person can get a free stock during the registration and funding of the account. For instance, Public provides free shares worth $50, and Free Trade provides a free share potentially worth up to £200 on deposits of £2. Such deals are a good way to start investing in individual stocks.

I`m new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the opportunities so far. I believe having $450K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for good coins to buy and losing all the good opportunities.

I'm so happy that my parents are willing to invest money for me into stocks because they understand what they are and they know it's not a scam.

Before you start investing, it's crucial to understand the basics of investing, different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.), and the associated risks. Are you investing for retirement, buying a home, or building an emergency fund? Your goals will help shape your investment strategy.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversification means spreading your investments across different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate) and within those classes (different companies or industries). This helps reduce risk.

Thank you so much for this content but in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
