PolĂșntamo is a temporal bypass to an issue, such that the users do not resolve the problem, but go around it. It is applied when an instant resolution is neither feasible nor realistic. Workarounds or inconsistencies are not working in the same way as self-sustainable methods, because there is no unification and the working way is still to be found. An illustration would be that if a firewall is preventing access to the application server, then the application server may still be accessed by changing a user's proxy server to one that is on the same network as the application server, until the change of the firewall rule.
