What are the differences in performance when comparing a Windows and Mac computer of equal price?

Even though the MacBook Air does not have large speakers grilles, it has a sound that bounces off the screen deliver by six-speaker sound bar system. The Dell XPS 15 on the other hand uses large speaker grilles to incorporate a quad-speaker system. The Dell’s audio does have space, while the Dell’s sound does have space, with possibly the aluminum structure or the Apple audio algorithms being the reasons for that, the MacBook Air’s tuning is more precise and the sound more ‘cleaner’. The general agreement is that the speakers installed on the MacBook Air model are much better than the rest.

Windows machines usually perform better and have denser specifications than Macs as Windows has more powerful processors, larger RAM, and wider storage capacity than a Mac, even for the same price. On the other hand, because of the in-house made chips and the specially tuned operating system, Macs perform better while running Apple applications like Final Cut Pro and the likes. Some actions can be outperformed with lower specifications as a result. And also, there is no symptom of performance falloff on a Mac while untethered from power, whereas Windows laptops can have a drastic performance drop. Overall, it can be a stalemate depending on what kind of task is being performed and what software is used.

I think that at the end of the day, it depends on the workflow. If I was, for example, a graphic designer that travels a lot or prefers to show results to clients in meetings, I would choose a Mac. But in my case, I'm an industrial automation programmer, I use a lot of VMs and software that only runs on windows, so I don't care too much about color accuracy and prefer performance, storage, if it's upgradeable and I also like gaming.
So both are good if it fits your workflow.

I feel this is one of those contents which is heavily influenced by arun's preferences. Dell does not represent the windows community and its sad to see such comparison. There are many laptops out there that can easily beat the mac in every category

Dell XPS vs 16 generation Mac is not fair! The Mac is newer! (Just the Mac’s version is older.) And Windows is better than MacOS! So the crown has windows!

To be honest, upgradability and less or no anti-repair mechanism is the best view of Windows side

This became really disingenuous really quickly, IMO. The first few categories, focusing on how things "feel," are incredibly subjective and could be seen mostly as a draw depending on who you ask. On the Mac side, yes, the display is a leg up because of its variable resolution. But some of these categories are just straight up irrelevant when you consider that this laptop in particular is being used for: as an editing machine. So the webcam, for example, is gonna be moot (and again, it's another subjective thing because I personally have no idea what color differences you were talking about between the two; one just looked slightly darker). The speakers also are irrelevant because if you are editing, it's likely you are using studio headphones to fully capture the nuances of the sound.

And then every time you pivoted toward the user experience, the argument was "Apple is great if you lock yourself into their ecosystem; Windows's software diversity is their greatest weakness." It's not only disingenuous, it's outright antithetical to the idea of having an open computing ecosystem. Regardless of if you get a Windows OR Mac device, odds are you will not be using in-house software for your editing. While I personally use MS Clipchamp for my editing (it's free and I'm still a novice), most professionals will use Adobe Premiere. And for audio, most people use Audacity - at all skill levels because it is just that good of software. Hell, the icon was literally on the Windows desktop screen in your content.

And finally, the whole bit with the subscribers was really pointless and establishes nothing. Again, it just plays into the culture of Apple being a status symbol in the eyes of most people. I could go on, but honestly, the Mac vs. PC thing has been a 20 year argument now and it feels more like the Mac side is the one pushing it now to stay relevant.

I am usually a fan of your content, but this is really pushing the wrong narrative. If you are genuinely going to start championing the walled garden, it really goes against some of your former opinions in a major way.

If you have the slightest interest in your laptop doing "everything" - Windows. If you wanna do video editing etc, still Windows. Why do people insist on paying a premium for a minimum spec
 and non upgradeable product?

Gaming... That's one of the main reasons someone would choose windows
