For the user that possesses a little extra money perhaps even for the mid-range, is RX 6650 XT 8 GB worth the investment?

The RX 6650 XT 8 GB is in a curious position as it is a fairly costly 8 GB GPU that is almost in the same category as the cheaper 12 or 16 GB graphics cards, sitting pretty close in terms of price. It may make sense if you have some spare cash, but more often than not there are more worthwhile alternatives with higher VRAM available.

Made the jump to AMD with the 7900 xtx recently and been having a great time. Don't really care for ray tracing so I'm happy with my purchase.

I want to build a pc that I can use for PCVR, as far as I understand I should go with Nvidea. I have/had my eye on the 4070 super, but your arguments to get the RX 7900 GRE 16GB are rather compelling. Do you, or anybody else, have any suggestions on what I should do? Because I heard that PCVR really benefits from higher VRAM but if I should believe AMD for PCVR is just a no go... thanks in advance!

Got the 7900GRE on one of your previous recommendations and it’s been a great card. At the time it was only $50 more than the 7800XT which I bought initially and returned for the GRE. Thanks for your content.

I was about to buy a 4060 but I saw that the RX 6650 XT had similar performance and I saw that the RX was very cheap so I decided to buy that one thanks for your great advice/content.

I bought a radeon 6800 brand new off of Newegg a week ago. Maybe it came back into stock? $359 and also got an amd 5800x for $180 with free 32GB DDR4 ram making it an insane value purchase.
