Are there any types of running shoes one can wear easily lazing out for daily easy runs but will also feel comfortable to wear on days of racing?

Yes, it is feasible to acquire trainers for ‘easy’ runs that feel soft and on which one can also race. For instance, models such as the ASICS Super Blast 2 or Hoka Mac X2 are made to provide comfort and cushioning when the runner goes easy, but they also provide the responsiveness and energy return required during faster efforts or for race day. Such shoes are designed to suit a variety of running purposes so one may say that these shoes are quite handy.

Mach X2 for me. Brilliant shoe for speed work

My current favourite is the Hoka Mach X 2, brilliant from easy to tempo pace . No heel issue

Absolutely agree with the SuperBlast 2…as the best do it all shoe. I could NEVER think about doing an easy or recovery run in the Speed 4. The Speed 4 is too firm for easy/recovery…but more importantly…the Speed 4 does not want to run slow or easy at all. I constantly run at faster paces than targeted, when wearing the Speed 4. This is why I have the Speed 4 as my speed workout shoe. It is a great shoe, but for me, it’s got one job that it does very well…but it’s not great for everything.

Bought the Neo Vista with high hopes, but realised there was no space to do a runners loop due to the lace design. Disappointed as seemed great otherwise!

Been reading a lot of negative reviews on the Mach X2 regarding blisters forming on the achilles. It's quite a big investment to make to result in painful blisters. Can someone chime in on their experiences?

Would the hoka ceilo x1's but a good daily trainer/ marathon shoe? All reviews seem to love it

Guys, this is great but the Superblast 2 has been coming up in top picks for a long while now and features heavily here - the problem is where does someone get them? They're never in stock anywhere. I'd love a pair (in any colour), and would have loved a pair of Superblast 1 but they're just never available unless you have size 4 feet. I've been looking since the Superblast 1 came out but have never, ever seen either a 1 or 2 come up in my size 9, like ever... As I say, great content but the common theme'd recommendation is for shoe that people just can't buy.
