Being devoid of mechanical components, SSDs are classified as solid-state drives which provides exclusivity in terms of speed to the devices, unlike HDDs. possessor on flash memory. Since flash memory is static, that is, there is no mechanical part that needs to be moved to access memory, the memory controller can access the data without a time delay. This results in quicker data retrieval and delivering better performance, especially in areas where there is movement or vibration present.

Bro you have no idea how much this just helped me. I just got my first gaming PC a week ago and I got a 2 TB HDD rather than a 1 TB SSD. I was wondering why everything is taking so damn long to load….. it has legit been a struggle. Booting up the PC takes a while... starting a game takes a while... downloading and transfers… it’s unbelievable how far tech has come in this sense

Go with SSD, especially NVMe. HDD takes forever load and exit the game and also assets pop-in often due to their large size.

No moving parts... Ok. ... So SSDs are like flash RAM, but the storage is permanent...
